When should I provide the diagnosis information at outbreak level compared to at event level?

Modified on: Wed, 5 Oct 2022 15:05
The system is designed to be able to collect diagnosis information at two levels: either at event level either at outbreak level.

It is up to the countries to decide which level of detail they want to provide. Please note however that once a reporting method is chosen (event vs oubtreak) for an event, the method will stay the same for that event. You can use a different method depending on the reported event if you wish.

The event method allows you to provide information in a summarised format (all tests performed and results received during a given period) while if you choose the outbreak method, you will have to link each outbreak with the test performed and the relevant result date.
